Last month today, I packed my luggage and hit the road by myself. It has been one month since I arrived in Bali. 30 days felt long for me at first, then here I’m, sitting at the airport again , thinking about how times flies.
It has been a really good time here, I met new friends, I experienced different kind of happiness, all of these made this leaving quite hard. We need to say goodbye to a lot of things in our lives, sometimes you are not willing to do that because farewell is hard. I don’t like farewell at all, I don’t like to say goodbye when you know that there might be no chance to visit that place or see that person again. After traveling to a lot of places and saying goodbye to many people, still I’m not very good at that.
Then I realized, why not just embrace that kind of feeling. Every feelings of us should be cherished, good or bad, it’s part of our lives, and part of us. The experience could enrich us and make us more mature to face all the difficulties and success moments.
Letting go is a big part of lesson we all need to learn. As long as we have enjoyed the journey, it’s not necessary a bad thing to end. A lot of people will say’ I love that place or someone so much, I want to be with it forever.’ Forever is an abstract word, for some people, that is a lifetime, for some, it might be one year, one month, even one day, but you have to let it go when it’s the time. The concept of holding on to something is one of the main reason that causes a lot of people unhappy.
The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.
God always has a better plan for you, but if you don’t let go of the past, you will never see.
But Bali, I will be back soon.
