Most of the things we didn’t do in our lives are because of the fear, fear comes from the feeling of insecure. Some people are insecure of money, some are insecure of being alone.
When I made the decision of quitting my job, leaving all my friends and families and starting a new ‘unstable’ world travel life, many people think I’m crazy.
Ever since I was kid, I was always on the ‘right’ routine – going to the best schools, learning to dance ballet, getting the dream job, as in China which is very family centered culture, the next ‘right thing’ to do is to start a family. That is socially recognized as ‘security of life’, but most of the people has mistaken that as the right things to do.
We all look different and have different personalities, why should we live the same life?

Shanghai life VS‘wild’ life.
I really like the quote from McCanless “So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned by a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure.” Don’t let the repeating of everyday life drain your passion, do what you want to do RIGHT NOW !!!
The questions I got asked most are as following:
“ How are you going to support yourself ?”
“ What are you going to do when you feel lonely and there will be no friends and families around?”
“ Isn’t it dangerous for a girl to travel alone?”
Those questions are like big walls scaring you from doing what you like. Of course, I was a bit scared of the uncertainty, but what scares me more will be staying behind this wall and being ‘safe’. “It’s not a easy decision,” that’s what I usually reply to them, “but once you know why you are living, you will find a how !”

When the day of leaving Shanghai actually comes, I got more and more excited by the uncertainty, and of course a little nervous. I don’t know how long this journey will be, but at this moment, I’m happy. Making a good decision is like the sunshine break out through the dark cloud, you feel light, you feel you are in the right track of your life.

Making decision is the hardest part, once you did it, everything will work out in its own way. My journey just began, you?
